GOLF GUIDELINES
The following guidelines are designed to provide maximum golfing enjoyment for the entire membership at Balmoral Golf Club.
1. TIMES FOR PLAY -Balmoral Golf Club will open in Spring. Typical Indiana golf season is late March to mid November.
2. CLOSING COURSE FOR PLAY- Members will be notified of course closings for special events or for course maintenance.
3 REGISRATION-All players are asked to sign in at the registration desk.
4. GUEST PLAY-All guests must register in the clubhouse. A member must accompany their guest while playing golf. An individual guest is limited to play a total of four rounds per year. All guests are responsible for following the Balmoral golf guidelines.
5. GUEST FEES- Guest fees can be paid at the time of play or they can be charged to the members account.
6. CHILDREN ON COURSE- Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by their parent to play golf. Children are not allowed to drive golf cars or sit on their parent’s laps to drive the golf cars. The parent member should supervise children who are learning to play golf when they are a swinging a golf club. Children college age and younger can play golf as part of their parent’s membership.
7. PERSONAL PROPERTY -Balmoral Golf Course is not responsible for loss, damage or thief of any golf shoes, golf bags, golf clubs, money or other personal property while on Balmoral property, including not limited to, the parking area, driving range, practice range or golf course.
8. CARE OF THE COURSE- Each member and guest is obligated to do his/her best to maintain the course in good condition by:
A. Properly repairing any ball marks on the green
B. Properly replacing divots on tees and fairways, filling divots with soil-and-sand mix from containers on the golf carts or where provided on the course.
C. Operating golf carts in compliance with the golf cart guidelines
(See guidelines number 9 and 10).
D. Raking footprints and club marks in the sand bunkers.
9. CARE OF THE CLUBHOUSE- The clubhouse is a smoke free environment. Smoking is allowed outside the clubhouse. All cigarettes and trash should be placed in the trash receptacles that are placed around the club house.
10. GOLF CARTS-A limited number of golf carts are available on a first come first serve basis. No one under 16 years of age can drive the golf carts. A maximum of two adults are permitted to ride in a golf car. Due to a limited number of golf carts, members are asked to double up on carts for all twosomes.
11. DRIVING GOLF CARTS ON THE COURSE- Members must use the golf carts in such a way as not to damage the golf course. Golf carts are not allowed in the high rough, on greens, flower beds, tee boxes, sand bunkers or on wet or soggy turf. When playing hole number two and nine along the pavement please use the pavement as the cart path. When playing hole number eight please stay on the mulch cart path. Observe all posted signs on course when driving golf carts.
12. PROPER ATTIRE- Appropriate golfing attire including footwear must be worn by all members and their guests while on the course, driving range, practice putting green, practice chipping hole (hole number 10) and any place on Balmoral. Men are asked to wear shirts with a collar. Tee shirts and sleeveless tank type shirts are not permitted. Jeans shorts or long jeans are not permitted as golf attire.
13. FOOTWEAR- Balmoral Golf Club is a soft spike golf course.
14. PETS- Pets of any kind are not permitted on the premises, including the course or surrounding property except for service dogs.
15. FOOD AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES- Outside food and beverages are not allowed. No one under twenty-one years of age is permitted to drink alcoholic beverages.
16. PRIVACY-Please respect the privacy of the private homes and owners personal and family activities while you are playing golf or enjoying golfing activities at Balmoral Golf Course.
17. TRASH ON COURSE-Please dispose of all trash such as cans, candy bars wrappers or paper in appropriate trash containers located throughout the course by the tee boxes or at the clubhouse. Please don’t throw anything on the course.
18. GUIDELINTES ENFORCEMENT- Individuals not authorized to play golf; or who may cause damage to the course, the private homes or personal property; or who are violating the rules and regulations of the course or violating Federal or State Laws will be asked to leave the premise.
19. MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION- The membership dues are non refundable. Membership can be revoked for rule violations or other circumstances that are deemed in the best interest of the course.
